Vented UCW Carbon Fiber Endplates
OVERVIEW
Add an aesthetic flare to your UCW wing with the new vented UCW carbon fiber endplates. The units bolt on exactly how our standard endplates bolt on with no change in hardware. The units are produced from 2x2 twill pre-preg carbon on machined aluminum molds for a consistent fit and finish. The units are finished with a gloss automotive clear for UV resistance.
These were designed and developed in CFD to improve the performance and aesthetics of the UCW Rear Wing Element. By venting the top side of the wing in a specific way and shaping the bottom portion of the endplate, we were able to reduce drag, increase downforce which resulted in an improvement of 1.2% L/D on our rear wing element at 10 degrees AOA. Testing was conducted using a generic swan neck upright and mount style in free stream airflow.

Science:
The Verus Engineering UCW Rear Wing was specifically designed for the typical enthusiast looking for a high downforce, efficient wing, for most street and track applications. To further enhance performance and aesthetics, we set out to develop endplates to push the envelope further. By reducing the vortices the endplate and wing produce as well as shedding some of the high pressure air on the top side of the wing, we were able to improve the wings' L/D (efficiency) by 1.2%.
Science:
The Verus Engineering UCW Rear Wing was specifically designed for the Subaru VB WRX enthusiast who wants more rear-end downforce. The wing has the capability of operating and generating downforce from 0 to 15 degrees angle of attack. This allows the wing to balance out a variety of front aerodynamic kits. As part of our Ventus 3 aerodynamic kit, the rear wing, and aero kit adds a significant amount of downforce to the car to help reduce lap times and increase corner speed.
