Drag Wing - S550 Ford Mustang
OVERVIEW
The Drag Wing for the S550 GT350 is built to remove drag from the vehicle, making the car more slippery when going down the dragstrip or airfield. This reduction in drag comes from reducing the pressure drag on the back side of the Mustang. By reducing the pressure bubble, the car benefits from a reduction of drag. The wing is designed to work on the factory trunk and handle the downforce well, the rear spoiler or drag wing bolts on easily and improves performance this sports car can utilize on the drag strip or during half mile or mile events.
Utilizing state-of-the-art analysis software during the R&D process, we optimized the airfoil for performance for the given build volume specific to the needs of high horsepower drag racers. Further utilizing CFD, we ensured the rear wing sees adequate airflow while installed on the car and performs well.
During the design process; we utilized in-house scan data. This results in a product that features a near OEM fit and finish.
The Drag Wing is the perfect addition to the drag racer who requires a large reduction in drag while improving rear downforce and adding stability at higher speeds. This wing works very well with our Ventus 1 Package, further reducing drag and providing the driver with the rear tire grip needed to lower ETs and ensure driver confidence.

Our CFD data and our real-world experimental data match up quite well. The wing hit all the major goals we set forth to achieve first in our CFD simulations and then with our real-world testing.
