Anti-Buffeting Wind Deflectors - Porsche 991.1/991.2 GT3 and GT3RS (BLEMISH)
OVERVIEW
*The pictures provided above are not the blemished product. Blemish products have small defects in the surface finish but are structurally sound.*
The infamous wind buffeting the Porsche suffers from almost ruins an amazing vehicle. We heard about the issue through various Porsche enthusiasts and then witnessed it ourselves on track.
We developed an elegant solution that not only alleviates the wind buffeting but looks spectacular as well. Our wind deflectors attach easily with 3M VHB Double-Sided Tape. The units are produced from multiple pieces of pre-preg carbon that are bonded together and then clear coated in an automotive high gloss finish.
During the development phase, we used scan data obtained in-house on our shop car to ensure proper contouring of the units to the side mirror bases. We also utilized CFD to ensure the units would work as intended but also did not cause unnecessary drag and disruption to other aerodynamic devices.
Get rid of the wind buffeting issues and upgrade the exterior looks of your 991 GT3 or GT3RS with these simple to add units.

SCIENCE
The buffeting is caused by airflow around the A-Pillar of the Porsche attaching and detaching while the windows are down. This causes pressure waves to build in the cabin of the vehicle and the noise we all hate with the windows down. Utilizing the Verus Engineering Carbon Anti-Buffeting Wind Deflectors ensures airflow detaches going around the windows and stops the issue. We ensured the units do not cause too much of an interaction with the air to hurt other aerodynamic devices downstream.
