    OVERVIEW

The Verus Engineering Front Splitter was designed to improve front end downforce significantly while following OE bumper lines.  We designed the kit ensuring it can handle the downforce loads it creates while attempting to ensure the install is straight forward and as simple as possible.  The front splitter is designed from durable and lightweight plastic, mounted through hardpoints on the chassis through two splitter ties and various bumper mounting locations as well.

Front splitters are very effective at producing efficient front end downforce.  They do so by creating a large delta between the top and bottom surfaces.  Utilizing state-of-the-art analysis software during the R&D process, we were able to ensure the front splitter improved performance as designed and balanced out our rear wing kit as well.

During the design process; we utilized scan data obtained internally. This resulted in a product that features a near OEM fit and finish.

The front splitter was designed for owners looking to combat front end lift in their Civic Type R.  By installing the front splitter and increasing front end downforce, you are able to improve traction at high speed.

    Science:

The front splitter is part of the Ventus 2 package for the CTR.  The Ventus 2 package improves downforce quite significantly from our Ventus 1 kit, with a slight bump in drag as well.  The ultimate goal of the Ventus 2 package is to reduce lap times with a setup that can still be daily driven to and from the track.  The Ventus 2 kit was designed for the typical track day enthusiast looking for a balanced setup that improves vehicle downforce efficiently and safely.

The CTR front splitter is a great addition for your Type R if you are looking for additional front end grip at speed.  The splitter is a good idea if you have added additional rear aero devices like a larger rear wing or large rear diffuser.
