Today, We are going to talk about one of the most "slept-on" products in our Supra Product Catalog, the Carbon Fiber Air Duct. Consider adding our Carbon Fiber Intake Duct to your A90 or A91 Toyota Supra build list to get the maximum amount of air flow to the factory box or filter location. This product features a specialized design that seamlessly integrates with the factory body, providing a GT4-inspired piece that performs as well as it looks!

Toyota Supra

The Mk5 Toyota Supra platform launched in 2020 worldwide and quickly became the choice for many consumers both on and off the track. With its potent 3.0 Liter turbocharged inline 6 motor, the Supra churns out impressive performance. However, like many modern turbocharged engines, there is one variable that can slow this car down, heat.

During on-track testing, our team at Verus Engineering noticed that the intake temperature before it hits the turbo was roughly 25-30 degrees Fahrenheit above the ambient temperature. This is less than ideal for any vehicle, let alone one that will see heavier engine usage somewhere like a track. The last thing that you want is to have power robbed by excessive heat generated by a tight engine bay. And that is how our carbon fiber intake duct was born.

Toyota Supra Intake Duct

Our intake duct is designed to force feed cold air into the air box from an opening that follows the design of the GT4 scoop. Where the GT4 scoop feeds air to the radiator and heat exchanger, our scoop pushes pressurized air directly into the air box. The results were a reduction of 15-20 degrees in air temperatures before the turbo and after the air box. This allows the turbo to work more effectively and helps keep the air charge system from working harder due to the induction of warm air. If you are running this intake duct with an open intake, you can still take advantage of the large charge of cool air provided by this duct, as it is dumped into the filter location.

Best of all, this duct system is completely road legal as it doesn't remove any lightning or safety equipment that could make you vehicle potentially dangerous on the street. This gives enthusiasts the peace of mind knowing that their vehicle can be driven to and from the track as well as the grocery store.

Are you ready to beat the heat and cool down your air charge? Click on the link below to get your Verus Engineering Carbon Air Duct today and benefit from a part designed with both form and function in mind.
